I am 75, a widow and handicapped. I am also suffering from severe lung damage. So you can imagine my concern having to call a plumber for an emergency. New Flow Responded immediately. The service was excellent. The young man was courteous, kind and patient. He went above and beyond and fixed my clogged sink perfectly. My doctor demands that folks entering my home wear a mask and this very nice young man wore one with no hesitation. New Flow is my plumber for life. I can not recommend this company more highly.

New Flow Plumbing responded quickly, and arrived promptly as scheduled. The technician, Jeff, listened to my explanation of the events, and even though I commented my expectation that the water heater would need to be replaced, he determined it might be serviceable.
I had another appointment so had to leave while he worked on it. A short while later Jeff called and informed me he was able to fix the water heater, so it would not have to be replaced. What a surprise!
Honestly, I provided New Flow an opportunity to stick me with a big repair bill for a new gas water heater and it's replacement. Jeff did the opposite. He chose to attempt, and succeeded, to make a much less costly repair. This level of integrity is uncommon today. I am grateful to have encountered this.
When I commented to New Flow management about my satisfaction with Jeff, I was told it was normal routine behavior by Jeff, and the expectation for all their employees.
To conclude this rant, I have to applaud New Flow Plumbing for prompt and honest service. I highly recommend them for any plumbing needs.

I had New Flow Plumbing replace my sewer line after it backed up unexpectedly. Arman was great to work with and did an excellent job. I couldn't be there while the work was done but his communication was wonderful as he sent regular status updates and pictures to let me know how the job was going. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Noticed the cabinet underneath our sink buckling, opened the doors and it was flooded! Started searching for 24 hour plumbers while my aunt called insurance and New Flow plumbing had great reviews with a website that easy to navigate and services clear. Called Saturday after 6pm and had someone at our house Sunday at 10:00am! Gentlemen who answered was patient as we explained our concerns, followed up with text messages and text as they were on their way! Vito found the problem in minutes, explained to us everything that he needed to do, fairly priced, had all the equipment in his truck, and left the area he worked in clean! We had our pipe fixed and water on in under an hour. He was patient with us as he explained how the leak may have started, what to keep an eye on, who’s it may have flooded so quickly, and gave great advice and pictures for the claims adjuster coming on Monday. 10/10 recommend!

Some Of Our Services

Automatic Shut Off Valve For Water Lines

Avoid costly water damage before it happens with our automatic shut off valves. We expertly install and test each valve, giving you reliable protection, fast response to leaks, and complete peace of mind in your home.

Drain Cleaning

Clogged drains can bring the whole house to a crawl. A licensed plumber clears out the gunk that causes slow sinks and backups, then makes sure everything is draining the way it should. It’s a simple fix that can save you from bigger problems later.

Emergency Plumber

Plumbing problems don’t care what time it is. When a pipe bursts, a toilet won’t stop running, or a leak is spreading fast, the focus is on getting there and stopping the damage. We find the source, get things under control, and make the repair so you can breathe again.

Kitchen and Bath Repair

From cracked sinks to leaky faucets, we handle every kitchen and bathroom repair. Our services restore proper function, prevent future problems, and ensure your high-use spaces are reliable, efficient, and fully functional for everyday use.

Kitec Plumbing Pipe Replacement

Kitec pipes can look fine until they don’t. If your home has Kitec, replacing it now can save you from a surprise leak later. Our Citrus Heights, CA plumbing team can swap the old lines for modern materials and leave you with steadier flow and fewer “what was that?” moments.

Main Water Line Replacement

Main line problems don’t always start with a flood. Low pressure, rusty water, or a soggy patch in the yard can be the first clue. If the main line is breaking down, a patch is usually a short-term bandage. Replacing the line restores steady pressure and helps stop leaks before they turn into major damage or downtime.

Plumbing For Real Estate Agents

Real estate deals move fast, and plumbing surprises can slow everything down. From quick inspections to repairs, our Citrus Heights plumbing work helps get listings ready, cut down on last-minute issues, and keep closings on track for both buyers and sellers.

Rooter Service

When pipes back up, it’s usually more than a little “gunk.” Roots, grease, and built-up sludge can choke a line and keep coming back if it’s not cleared the right way. Rooter service breaks through the blockage, gets drains moving again, and helps cut down on repeat clogs.

Sewer Camera Inspection

Nobody wants a “maybe” when it comes to sewer problems. A small camera goes into the line so you can actually see what’s causing the trouble, like roots, cracks, a belly in the pipe, or a hard blockage. That way the repair targets the real issue and avoids tearing things up for no reason.

Sewer Repair

Sewer line trouble gets serious fast. Our plumbing experts track down the issue, explain what we’re seeing, and repair the damaged section so waste moves out the way it should. The goal is to stop leaks and backups and keep the problem from coming right back.

Slab Leak Repair

Slab leaks can hide for a while, then show up as warm spots on the floor, damp carpet, or a water bill that keeps climbing. We pinpoint where the leak is coming from and fix it with as little tear-up as possible. The goal is to stop the damage early and get your plumbing back to normal.

Tankless Water Heater Installation And Repair

Tankless units are great when they’re sized right and installed correctly. We install new systems, troubleshoot cold-water surprises, and handle repairs and maintenance to keep hot water steady. Service is available for both homes and businesses.

Toilet Repair

A toilet that won’t stop running, keeps clogging, or leaks at the base is more than annoying. Our plumbing specialists fix the problem at the source, not just the symptoms, so it flushes right and stops wasting water.

Trenchless Sewer Repair & Replacement

Sewer repairs don’t always have to mean tearing up the whole yard. Trenchless options can fix or replace the line with far less digging, so landscaping and hardscape stay mostly intact. You get the flow back without turning the property into a construction zone.

Water Heater Repair & Replacement

Nobody wants to start the day with a cold shower. If your water heater is leaking, making noise, or not keeping up, we’ll diagnose it and let you know whether a repair makes sense or if it’s time to replace it. Either way, the goal is steady hot water again without the headache.

Our Community in Citrus Heights

Citrus Heights is the kind of place where people stay busy and expect things at home to work. Between family neighborhoods, local shops, and a mix of older and newer properties, plumbing needs can pop up without much warning. That’s why having professional plumbing Citrus Heights matters. Fast, dependable service helps keep homes and businesses running without turning a small issue into a long disruption.

Frequently Asked Questions

Usually it comes down to pressure or movement. Banging can happen when a valve shuts fast and the pipe jumps, and whistling often shows up when water is squeezing through a partly closed valve or a worn washer. Tightening loose pipes, dialing back high pressure, or adding a water hammer arrestor can help. If the noise is new or getting louder, it’s worth checking early before it turns into a leak.

Roots chase moisture, and they can slip into tiny cracks or loose joints in a sewer line. Once they’re in, they grow, catch debris, and start causing slow drains and backups. Clearing the roots helps, but the real fix is repairing the damaged section so it doesn’t keep happening. That can also help you avoid bigger plumbing repairs later.

A lot of units land in the 8 to 12 year range, but it’s not a guarantee. Hard water, heavy use, and skipped maintenance can shorten that. Flushing the tank now and then and having it checked once a year can buy you more time. Rusty water, rumbling sounds, or moisture around the base usually means it’s on the way out.

Once a year works well for most homes, especially if the plumbing is older. Plumbing inspections in Citrus Heights, CA can catch small leaks, corrosion, and pressure problems before they blow up into a weekend emergency. If you’ve had repeat clogs, a slab leak, or a recent remodel, it’s smart to schedule one sooner.

Sometimes, but they’re a gamble. They can eat at older pipes, damage seals, and turn a soft clog into a bigger mess if the chemical just sits in the line. For minor slow drains, a plunger, a drain snake, or a hot water flush is usually safer. If clogs keep coming back, it’s better to have the line cleared properly instead of pouring more chemicals down it.

Slow drains in more than one fixture, frequent backups, sewer smells, or gurgling toilets can all point to a sewer line problem. Outside, watch for soggy patches, extra-green spots, or sinkholes in the yard. If any of that shows up, calling local plumbers sooner can keep a small break or blockage from turning into a bigger mess.

Cloudy water is often just air in the line, and it usually clears up in a minute. Yellow or brown water can be rust or sediment getting stirred up in old pipes or in the water heater. Try running a cold tap for a bit and see if it improves. If it keeps happening, shows up only on hot water, or comes with a metallic smell, it’s worth having the pipes and the heater checked.

You can, if you’re comfortable shutting off water, following the instructions, and dealing with surprises. The risk is a small mistake you don’t notice right away, like a slow leak at a supply line, a bad seal, or a loose flange. Those can turn into water damage later. If you want it done fast and worry-free, a Citrus Heights plumber can install it cleanly and make sure everything is sealed and draining the way it should.

Most slow drains come from buildup, not a “mystery clog.” In a tub it’s usually hair and soap scum. In a kitchen sink it’s often grease and food bits. If it’s just one fixture, the clog is probably close to that drain. If several drains are slow at the same time, the issue could be deeper in the line. Catching it early is a lot easier than dealing with a full backup later.

Start with the pipes that sit in cold spots, like garages, crawl spaces, exterior walls, and under sinks. Insulate them, seal up drafts, and keep the heat set to a steady temperature, even overnight. On the coldest nights, letting a faucet drip can take pressure off the line. If you want a quick pre-winter check, a plumber can look over the vulnerable runs inside the home and the exposed lines outside, then point out what needs attention before a freeze hits.

It’s a way to fix a sewer line without digging a long trench across your yard. A camera inspection is usually first to see what’s going on. Then, depending on the pipe and the damage, a liner can be fed through the existing line and cured in place, or the old pipe can be broken apart and replaced as a new one is pulled through. Either option keeps digging to a minimum and can save your landscaping, driveway, and walkways from getting torn up.
